about me

about me

storyteller ~ filmmaker ~ designer ~ director

I was thirteen when I made my first film; a 20-minute documentary on the history of Bali, Indonesia. Shot on a damaged digital camera with an overuse of the zoom function, I can't say it's a masterpiece, but it is my first film.

My second wasn't much better.  This time I was fourteen, and wanted to examine what it would be like to live in modern society if fashion had not changed since the 19th century (I don't recommend playing basketball in a dress with a petticoat).  While the filming itself was better, the editing was atrocious.

Both of these films, while technically flawed and almost unwatchable, looked at subjects that I had not seen examined before.  I have carried this ethos with me each time I tell a story.

Now, after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Theatre, writing a feature length script as my Senior Honours Thesis, and studying every aspect of a production, I have the right tools to continue my mission of telling compelling and unique stories.
